Senior Cost Accountant $85k-$95k

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accountant with a strong background in manufacturing cost accounting and inventory analysis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment and possess excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can translate data into strategic insights, while driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing standard costs, including labor and overhead rates
• Analyze product and project costs, including material variances and labor efficiencies
• Perform physical inventory reconciliations
• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Identify and implement process improvements and internal controls
• Prepare financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets
• Support internal and external audits
• Participate in special projects and additional accounting duties as assigned
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance

Qualifications & Requirements

• 5-10+ years of cost accounting and analysis experience, preferably in manufacturing
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Work Environment

• Fast-paced accounting environment requiring attention to detail and multitasking

Additional Information

• This role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities
• May involve working across multiple locations and departments as needed
• Responsibilities may extend beyond primary job scope based on business needs
